1. What did I learn?
This week my interests focused on an online organization“The Virtual Museum of San Francisco” (http://www.sfmuseum.org ). I focused mainly on the section “THE GREAT FIRE AND EARTHQUAKE- 1906”. This tragedy was interesting to me because I, unfortunately, did not know about this disaster. Reading and observing through this organization gave me the opportunity to feed my mind about historical situations that I could take into consideration and try implying it, (at some point), during my history lesson times. I learned that I should focus about other histories around the world and not only the ones in our areas. For me it is very important to do so because I could engage my future students to focus in other parts of the world.
2. What else do I want to learn?
It stated at the home page, towards the end, that they will be debuting San Francisco’s art culture; I sure would be looking forward on taking a peek when they do so. Further, I would like to be engaging in other organizations in which I could research and learn from. For example: “American School Counselor Association”, k12connection.org, pbs.org… Without a doubt, these organization are very helpful because they focus on many academical skills teachers and future teachers could use.
